| The silent chills of winter had been starting to set in, and the loneliness almost echoed off the walls of Sardothien camp- and even the Nannies' den was somber and silent. There weren't many young ones around this time of year, and they were growing up already- off to their respective dens, growing colder and colder as they aged- hearts as frozen as the frosty breezes. This was not a pack that fooled around, they got things done when they needed to be taken care of. Under a reign of terror, there wasn't much hope for those who couldn't handle it, the wolves that weren't able to live with all this fighting. If you didn't have anything important to say, you kept your mouth shut, and your gaze to the ground- Fenic knew this better than almost anyone else. She'd been terribly punished for something she had never done in the first place, absolutely suffering for the mistakes of her parents. They'd been a match made in heaven, but they also were greedy, greedy for everything they could take for themselves. They never cared about feeding Sardothien, only their partner- and that's what got them dead- dead on the borders, together still in their last few moments of life.
Fenic had never hated one thing they'd done until that day, when she saw their faces as they left. They were not caring about her anymore, only each other- love killed them, and it had killed their relationship. She didn't have a family now, only herself, and the quiet. It was something that calmed her, being alone and letting the wind blow through her fur, the frost that blew through the air landing on the tip of her nose. She didn't care for the cold, but the ability to be by herself was more than sufficient, and the Omega wouldn't complain. In fact, she rarely complained about anything out loud. The she-wolf was too worried for her own safety to express much opinion when she was around others, and so she'd keep it in her mind, or talk to herself when she was convinced nobody was there to hear her. Sitting down behind a few of the dens, she shielded her body from the wind, subduing the cold's anger, the winter's wrath- for now. Her snow-colored pelt stood out among the gray rock she was leaning against, her eyes which had been shut for the wind now opening to reveal a soft yellow hue. "...This place is kinda nice, isn't it?" She whispered to herself, sighing.
Fenic didn't realize she wasn't alone at that moment- that somebody else was there, too.

| Chassity stood in the middle of the clearing. She had finished all of her duties for the day. With so little members, her some of her jobs were less hard. But there were so few members that she herself had to check the borders more often. It wasn't a problem because the borders tended to be quiet. The beta started to recall her last border check. She and Raina happened to be checking the borders at the same time. From the way she acted, it was obvious that she was a young one. Younger than the beta. Chassity did see some wisdom in her, but did she have enough? The beta wasn't sure, but she only cared about Sardothien. If she wasn't wise enough to keep her pack maintained, then she would have to deal with some serious consequences. Nero being the alpha of Sardothien made the situation a lot worse. He was simply dangerous-- to other animals at least.
The beta closed her eyes for a split second. Winter was setting in pretty well. She could feel the harshness of the winter even with her thick pelt. Then a familiar scent came upon her nose. Hmm, she thought. Chassity slowly turned around and walked over to Fenic's direction. The white wolf stood out with the rock she was leaning on. Beta Chassity knew the other wolf was an omega. Her blue eyes narrowed slightly as the snow fell into her eyes. She let out a grunt before shaking her head. When she stood a good distance from the omega, she looked her in the eyes. "Hello, Fenic. How are you doing today?"

| Absentmindedly, Fenic didn't notice whose voice it was at first, and thought it to be somewhat of a Warrior or Jaeger's- she would be ashamed that this thought even drifted to her mind, but she was too mesmerized by the flakes of snow, the whispering winds that she could hear whistling beside her, though the den she'd been leaning against provided some sort of protection from the worst of the chills. "I... I'm alright." She mumbled, her eyes closing again as a reflex- there was snow in her eyes. Scrunching up her eyes a bit, the Omega opened them again to a blue stare, one that was recognizable to everyone of Sardothien. Beta Chassidy. Fenic was a fool, a fool not to recognize that voice, and to close her eyes when she'd been talked to. She should've known- damn. Fenic made so many mistakes, so many missteps in her mind- she assumed everything mattered, and so even the smallest slip-up freaked her out, made her think that everything was about to explode. But of course, she could not cry and she couldn't run away. It wasn't even like she was getting yelled at by anyone else, but she reprimanded herself for it anyways.
"O-Of course, I hope you're doing fine as well!" She sputtered, trying not to let herself slip up on the words in agony. She was failing. Messing it up. You're useless.

Made by @Chassity Alpha NeroIf one could perceive how the birds stopped chirping, the air froze as if the forest held it's breathing. Knowing that should it move the beast it was too scared of would give chase. Nero's temper happened to get out of hand at the border where he interacted with the alphess of Pixduas and a lowly mongrel who interrupted them. The male was known for his mood swings, much like mother nature. One moment he's calm and somewhat tolerable and the next he's a raging sea, threatening to overpower even the strongest of canines and felines. A low growl rumbled in the males chest as his inky lips peeled back to reveal sharp canines meant to tear flesh and crush bone. Onyx fur fluffed up as Nero's hackles raised, making him appear more menacing and larger than he actually was. Another snarl tore through his chest, almost like a gurgle and grumble mixed together. Large paws scrapped his stone den, a constant scratching sound as he paced back and forth in the confines of the rather large den. Needing to get out Nero made a beeline towards the entrance of his cave, but he didn't go out until he was calm enough. Anger still burned under his fur, making his blood boil, however, he didn't let it show. Massive black paws stepped out from the mouth of the cave, the forest froze once again as the beast and reaper of the lands completely emerged from his den. Blazing green eyes looked around before landing on his beta and a useless omega who he happened to forget her name. She was a white wolf with a scrawny build, weak, pathetic, at least in the males eyes. He vaguely remembered who her parents were, such selfish wolves who deserved the death they had. He only wished he slowly killed one and made the other watch before tearing out the fresh of the other. Then throw their bodies away, separate from one another and die from their mate. A wicked smile graced the males lips, yes, what the perfect death. Nero won't lie, he actually was jealous of the two wolves. They had that perfect made who they would betray their pack to be with one another, Nero never had that with his mate. No, his mate nearly cost him his pack's lives, they were the only thing keeping him together. If they died he wouldn't be an alpha anymore. Just a lowly rogue and he didn't like the sound of that. Shaking his fur out Nero walked with confident steps towards the two she-wolves. "Ladies," Nero gave a cocky smirk as he sat down. "Beta Chassity we need to have a little chitchat once you're done with whatever this conversation is about. Omega," Nero said calmly and he stared intently at the white she-wolf. "I assume you have done your duties and aren't just sitting here doing nothing like a lowly dog." Nero bit out as he bared his teeth at the omega. He wanted so bad to bite and draw blood, but if he did he knew the copper taste of blood would get to him and the younger wolf might have already been dead. He would much rather maul a deer or something else to get the shimmering rage out of him so he didn't end up killing a pack member, again.

| Staying silent as she waited for Chassity's response, her ears flattened and her tail drooped in embarassment, trying to hide the fact that she'd messed up. It was terrifying that she'd done something like that in front of the second-in-command, and it was one of the worst situations she could've been forced into. She could never cry in front of anyone, and she could never talk her own opinion, because she was too scared to even talk to anybody who was above her. Being an Omega, there wasn't even many cats who were equal to or under her, and she'd never found the capacity for making friends in a place like this, always chickening out and running away when she could. Why today? Fenic never wanted to have to talk to these other wolves, but she wasn't able to escape this conversation, of course. It wasn't too bad, right? Besides, she was only talking to the pack's Beta, and not the demon himself... and then she heard his voice, too. Nero the Destroyer, the famed Alpha of Sardothien. He'd killed his former mate, and waged war on Pixduas- this wolf was somebody you'd never want to mess with. Absolutely terrible.
Her eyes widened in a rush of fear, and the female tundra wolf's fur bristled slightly, shivering with nerves as she looked towards the male, not sure what to do in this situation. She was surely frightened, and it wasn't clear what the best option would be going forward for herself. In a time like this, the only knowledge she had was that she needed to hold her tongue, not to do anything rash and focus on making it out with nothing short of a scar-free pelt. Nodding quietly to Nero, she didn't seem to say anything, though her face did look explicitly scared and submissive- submission was the key to staying a live for her, the fact that Fenic would do anything to live.

| Chassity watched the omega with her cold eyes. If the white she wolf didn't look so pathetic, she would have demanded more submission. Just the way she looked... it bothered her in a bad way. She didn't know the history of the omega, but yet she wondered if it somehow scarred her. In her mind, she didn't think much of other's pasts were as bad as hers. She had been in a lot of fights, was treated like an outcast for the majority of her life in her old tribe, she learned that her father killed her mother, and she was forced to kill her own father. Yes, her history wasn't all flowers and prey. Mostly blood. Despite her rough past, she managed to come out well. Chassity would call that a miracle if she believed in them. The beta narrowed her blue gaze when Fenic looked into her eyes. She lifted her tail in a reasonable position to show her dominance. The multicolored she wolf hated when wolves below her looked into her eyes in the middle of the clearing. She didn't care so much in one-to-one conversation somewhere else. Before she responded to the omega, she looked over to Nero. She dipped her head to him with respect. "Yes, sir," she told him. Something about the word "chit-chat" rubbed her the wrong way. Whenever someone like Nero told her that, she couldn't help but get suspicious. She braced herself for whatever was coming. "Is everything going well for you, Nero?" The beta attempted to start a conversation with the alpha.

| The black male glared at the white tundra wolf, disgusted with her act of submission. Weak and pathetic, that's what she looked like, pity she stayed silent. If only she didn't nod that head of her's, such a shame. Nero even had the audacity to look crestfallen, saddened that she didn't give him a reason to attack her. But, what was stopping him? He was the famed wolf who attacked those for no apparent reason. Ah, yes, it was because if he did attack her he more than likely end up killing her, he couldn't be too rough now, could he? Black ears swiveled towards his beta's question. A rumbling snarl rumbled from his chest as he bared his fangs, he was quick to look in his beta's direction. Green eyes burned and danced with green flames, "that's alpha Nero to you." The brute snarled out, hackles raised up to make him appear larger than he actually was. "Understood?" The black male growled out. Some way and somehow he had to get his anger out on somebody, the question is who? Ah, yes, he distinctly remembered an omega cowering behind him. A sinister grin crept on his lips, green eyes dancing with madness. Nero knew how much it bothered that he attacked and mistreated those below him for no given reason. So for the punishment he silently promised at the border patrol, Nero turned his mad gaze at the lowly omega. A sardonic grin played at his lips as a pink muscle licked along his whiskers. This will be fun... Nero thought to himself before he attempted to launch himself towards Fenic, hoping to wrap his jaws around the white canines neck. Should the attack be successful than his canines would dig into flesh, drawing the coppery taste of blood.

As Nero- Alpha Nero, reprimanded Chassity for simply forgetting to address him formally, the female's eyes closed in a surge of fear, knowing that she couldn't make any mistakes at all, or she'd be in big trouble. Maybe she should've been out hunting, or trying to do as much stuff as was possible before she was cornered in by both the Alpha and the Beta of Sardothien, both cats known for being great fighters- especially Nero. They called him the demon of the forest, how he gave off an aura of evil- he was easily the scariest cat she knew, if she could call hearing rumors about his temper and attitude really 'knowing' him. She wasn't somebody who'd be able to fight back against over half of the pack, and certainly not their own Alpha. Please, just let me be safe... Just leave me alone and walk away... Her day had immediately turned sour because of this encounter, and she didn't want to get hurt if she didn't have to. Cowering behind the large dire wolf as he talked to his Beta, she was frozen, like the thin layers of ice covering the territory's ponds and rivers. She didn't dare to move, to make a mistake- but he turned around anyways, towards her. The male's sudden movements were precise, and she barely had time to think about the attack, and about how she didn't deserve this- what did she do to provoke him? The green-eyed wolf's teeth were glimmering in the snow, and his canines wrapped around her neck quickly, not piercing her skin(?), but still drawing blood. Shuddering as she tried to hold back a sob, the Omega finally opened her eyes.
She opened her eyes, and stared into the eyes of another, though unintentionally- she stared right into Nero's eyes.

| Nero at first wasn't planning to severely hurt the omega, only do a show of authority and put Chassity in line, a way of telling her not to cross him again. Or ever for that matter. Sure he didn't have to attack the omega, but Nero was a sucker for thematic's. But all that changed when the white fae looked directly in his green depths. Instantly Nero bit down harder, drawing blood, but not a killing blow. A louder than average snarl erupted from Nero's throat, one filled with anger and dominance. How dare she look him in the eye, she knew not to. You never look an alpha or beta in the eye or a matter of fact any higher rank than you. The brute applied more force behind his bite, daring the omega to look away. Hackles raised along with a bushy tail, curling onto his back. He continued to glare into Fenics eyes waiting for her to look away. She wouldn't be getting away scathe free from this little stunt she pulled, no matter if it was on accident or not. | |

| Lucrais silently padded into the camp, her head raised slightly higher, now. She was no longer alone with her thoughts - she could distract herself from the pain of her losses. Flicking her tail, the she-leopard cast her icy gaze across the wolves. The first wolf she saw was the alpha, Nero. That provoked a curious thought. 'Where's the beta?... Who's the beta?' the she-leopard pondered, an ear flattening. She would undoubtedly find out soon enough. There was no need to think too much about ranks. After all, she could easily tell how high and how lowly certain creatures were based on their stance and behavior. It was obvious that the snowy white wolf was quite lowly. She seemed quite anxious and jumpy. 'Hm. There was no term for leopards who acted like that in my Clan... They were just the weak links...' the exquisite feline mused, flexing her claws. Deciding to think no further of it, Lucrais padded past the canines. She glanced up at the rocks, a delighted glint appearing in her eyes. Crouching down slightly, the snow leopard then sprang onto a rather high-up rock, and leaped onto another. When she finally got onto a satisfactory perch, the leopard laid down and stared down at the camp. She immediately noticed Nero - no - Alpha Nero address Chassity. The leopard curiously observed him, tilting her head slightly. She didn't even bat an eye when the male attacked the pathetic looking she-wolf. 'Whatever caused it, it's none of my concern,' she thought, a smirk forming on her muzzle. 'But let's see what happens...' Lucrais crossed her paws, her gaze set intently on the two. She often liked to observe, to gather up any possible information she could receive. Now was her chance to see what Alpha Nero and what the white she-wolf were like. | |

| Chassity wasn't so surprised at Nero's reaction. After all, she did see him as someone angry. The beta didn't flinch one bit when he reprimanded her and raised his hackles. She watched him with her cold eyes and simply said, "Understood, Alpha Nero." The multicolored she wolf refrained from emphasizing 'alpha'. Well, there went her attempt to have a good relationship with the black wolf. Things would just have to be at a... stricter level. Then he attacked poor Fenic. Just why would he do that? Because he wants to get back at you from saving Raina from his taunts...and he wants to show his anger out on somebody. Chassity told herself and helplessly watched the encounter. The brutal display of dominance was bothering her more than it showed. Why didn't he fight her instead? Omega Fenic didn't really do anything but lie down pathetically. Did he think she was easier to fight? No, she thought. If he wanted to fight her, he would have. The beta just watched the scene as if it was flowing water. She didn't want Nero to know that it bothered her. Not only she despised the alpha, but she lost a lot respect for him. He reminded her of so many wolves she fought in the past. Chassity didn't even notice a snow leopard watching from above.

| Fenic had never tried to do this, she didn't want to have to go through what was happening right now. She would've never had opened her eyes to this, if she knew it would only make things worse, and now that his jaws were tightened around her neck, feeling faint streams of blood dribble down her neck- the wolf was on the verge of screaming, of crying out in terror and pain. Immediately, the female wolf tried her absolute hardest to look away, to close her eyes again, but when your neck was being squeezed, bitten, mauled- it was hard to even spare the energy to move your eyelids around. Besides, something in his green gaze- it was cruel and terrifying, but it was also hypnotizing, it was dominant. Letting out a choke of despair, her eyes narrowed a bit in a fuzzy confusion, beginning to get dizzy from the blood she was losing.

| Val padded into the camp, a bundle of herbs clamped in her jaws. The husky had decided to go and collect as many herbs as she could find, though there weren't many due to the snow. She didn't really like winter do to the fact that not many herbs could grow in the cold, but she tried not to mind. There were some herbs that grew in this time, after all, like parsley, sage, thyme, and mint. So she didn't really fret about it. Shaking the snow from her pelt, Val glanced towards the three wolves. Noticing that Nero seemed agitated, the young canine hurried into the shaman den, putting down the herbs before sorting them out. 'Juniper berries are over here, they help soothe stomachaches and troubled breathing... annnnd... parsley stops mothers from producing milk, and also soothe stomachaches... aaaaand...-' Her thoughts were interrupted from a slight commotion from outside the den. Looking up, the she-dog slipped out of the den, her ears flattened. She froze upon seeing Nero with his jaws wrapped around Fenic's throat. She frowned slightly - though Val was used to violence from within the clan, she didn't fancy it. However, she didn't let it get to her. Instead, she ducked back into the den to gather some herbs. Looking over what she had, she furrowed her brows before gathering an assortment of them - cobwebs, comfrey roots, poppy seeds, and goldenrod. Tucking them into a leaf, she placed it away from the other herbs before warily padding back out into the entrance. The husky kept rather low to the ground, as she didn't want to attract Nero's attention. Val was smaller than the wolves of the clan, and stood no chance against them. That was exactly why she was a shaman and a part-time nanny, not a warrior or jaeger. Heck, omegas were always getting beaten up, so goodness knows she couldn't even be one of those. Shamans weren't as disrespected as them, and were still considered useful without them having to use any sort of violence. After all, they did assist the pack. They weren't as useless as an omega. However, Val did figure that omegas weren't completely useless. She knew that they did all the errands for the other wolves. If they were totally useless, they shouldn't even be in the pack. Therefore, Val still cared for them. As soon as Nero and Chassity would leave, she would bring the omega into the shaman den and do her best to heal the wound... if she survived. | |

| Was it so hard to look away? It was a fight for survival and yet the small fae- at least to him - didn't look away. You are a stupid wolf... he thought to himself at all the hoopla that was going on. The brute was quite honestly stumped, she wouldn't look away and it's not like he could kill her. There was something special about her, she had to either be stupid enough to look him in the eye or some part of her hidden beneath layers of fear was a sliver of a courageous wolf. The light in her eyes dimmed from blood loss which brought him back to the now. He was so tempted to shake his head and tug on her throat, but he knew that if he should he would surely kill her. So instead he unhinged his jaws from her neck and dropped her to the ground. He bit at her muzzle before attempting to stand completely over her body.
He continued to glare at her, if she truly wanted to live she better look away. Black and white fur streaked from Nero's plural vision drawing his attention to the nanny and shaman dog. She was carrying herbs in her mouth so he didn't give her much thought. His attention stayed solely focused onto Fenic, letting go of her muzzle he cuffed one of her ears, drawing blood with his incisors. However, his attention was snagged by Val when she returned with an assortment of herbs. He figured they were meant for the omega. Nero snarled one last time before moving away from the white wolf, never breaking eye contact. He then spoke, "come heal the Omega Val. Don't want her bleeding out, now would we?" Nero gave the omega a wicked smile, showing his bloody teeth, blood that was her owns.

| Her legs were shaking, and her vision was blurring out- in fact, Fenic wondered if this was what it felt like to die- feeling the life drain out of you so slowly, with the pain burning into your body as you just waited for it all to go black, for everything to end. This pain, it was too much- and the tundra wolf finally let out a bloodcurdling scream, sick of holding it back in her throat anymore. The she-wolf didn't even notice that Nero let go of her neck, though the throbbing in her muzzle told her he'd bitten that, too- even her ear. The Omega's body hit the camp's floor with a thump, blood slowly trickling out into the stone and dirt as she sobbed pitifully, her cries seeming to fall on deaf ears as she lay helpless, her eyes closing and her mind swirling with sudden thought as everything seemed to fade out, as the world started to burn around her- as everyone's voices started to sound a lot quieter, and it got harder to figure out what everyone was saying. In the middle of all this trauma, the stress got too much for her- Fenic blacked out, went unconscious as she still bled out, her sobbing coming to a stiff stop as she lay there. Still breathing, heart still beating, but she didn't talk, she didn't move- if it wasn't for her pulse, she'd almost look as if she was lifeless.

| Val anxiously watched the two, crouching close to the ground while she waited for the fight to be over. Well, it wasn't much a "fight". It was more of a punishment. Nonetheless, it was one hell of a punishment. 'Hang in there, Fen...' she thought, whining quietly with worry. When Nero had finally released her, the she-dog breathed a sigh of relief. However, that didn't mean that Fenic was alive. She lashed her ears when Nero bit down on the wounded fae's ear and muzzle. When the alpha instructed her to heal the omega, Val nodded, grabbed the herbs, and hurried forward. "Yes, Alpha," she curtly woofed, before noticing that Fenic had stopped sobbing. Rushing up to the wolf, Val quickly felt for a pulse. Finding it, she breathed a sigh of relief. "She's alive. Unconscious from the blood loss..." the shaman murmured, before glancing at her herbs. Quickly, she took the goldrenrod and chewed them. Her ears slightly twitched at their bitter taste, but she quickly then applied the poultice to the neck wound. Huffing, she then got up and headed back into the den. In a hurry, the husky grabbed a few more herbs before heading back out and to the omega's side again. Taking the marigold she gathered, she chewed it into a poultice before applying it to the neck wound. 'Hopefully that'll stop infection from setting in, and put the bleeding to a halt...' Val checked the fae for any more injuries, before wrapping the wound with cobwebs. She then directed her attention to the wounds on the she-wolf's ear and muzzle. They weren't as serious as the neck wound, but they were still bleeding. She applied more of the poultice to them, before sighing and flicking her tail. "Could someone help me move her to my den? It'd be best that she stays there until her neck wound is healed enough," she barked, glancing over the gathered creatures. | |
